These are some of the lists I subscribe to myself – all deal with Science Education, mostly elementary to middle school. All of these are free. My suggestion would be to establish an email address just for these lists. That way you can easily search them as they fill up in the years to come.
Krampf’s Experiment of the Week http://thehappyscientist.com/ and subscribe on the link to the right. Robert Krampf is rather famous in Florida where for years he has brought hands-on science ideas to elementary kids there. His website has hundreds of videos and lessons (searchable) . Definitely elementary. The website use costs $20/year but the subscription to the “Experiment of the Week” is free.
Earthstorm NewsSee Andrea Melvin's form at http://earthstorm.mesonet.org/for_teachers/mailing_list.php be added to her EarthStorm News List. She regularly emails out tons of science information and opportunities; pretty much a clearing house in this region. Most of these are geared towards middle school teachers but many also apply to elementary and to high school. There are lots of announcements of scholarships, grants and summer activities for teachers, too. Highly recommended.
Steve Spangler Steve Spangler has a great set of resources for all grades, but especially good for elementary and middle school. His free newsletter includes a kid-tested experiment of the week (complete with suggestions on how they really work, and input from other teachers) and a monthly newsletter. Highly recommended. www.stevespanglerscience.com/experiment-of-the-week
Exploratorium This newsletter comes out four times a year. It focuses on the Exploratorium ( the largest hands-on museum you can imagine, a premier source for Inquiry method of teaching science). The Exploratorium is in San Francisco so not everything will apply to you but certainly worth looking at, or I would not have included it! www.exploratorium.com/educate/newsletter.html
NASA Express This is an amazing list - it's from NASA and you will get regular emails with announcements concerning all phases of aerospace education from teacher scholarships and opportunities you never imagine existed to online training for teachers of all ages. Highly recommended. http://education.nasa.gov/edprograms/core/mailinglist/index.html
