Electronics Resources - Amateur Radio and Robotics

(Most of these are great for middle schoolers up into high school)

ARRL

The national organization for our hobby.  They have a section for educators, too - with summer programs (scholarships available) for teachers.   And check out the "hamfest" schedule!  www.arrl.org

Electronics tutorials.

This is a nice, complete set of FREE lessons.  The subjects range from the young beginner to the seasoned professional, but most of this is best for someone with at least a little experience in basic electronics.  Lots of projects!   www.hobbyprojects.com/

Local Hams

There are quite a few in this area, and many of them have their own webpages.  Here are just two:

http://myweb.cableone.net/KF5S/  Joe does a lot with weather, as you can tell,

http://myweb.cableone.net/bobfro/  Bob likes to mess around with antenna designs and experiments.

Local Club

The local ham radio club in Ardmore stands ready to help you with encouragement, speakers, licensing and resources.  www.soaresss.org

Botball

A robotics contest involving building and programming robots made from Legos.  At this site you can download some videos, the latest "Interactive C", and find out what this sport is all about.   This is an Oklahoma venture that has become international in scope.  www.botball.org
