Astronomy Lessons - Under Construction
This is where I will post the self-teaching astronomy lessons. This page should be up and running by October 31. If you took the Sci 2224 class, or if you attended my workshop at the Encyclomedia Meeting, you are in the right place! In the meantime go ahead and download the free virtual planetarium software these lessons refer to. There are two that are clean and recommended and they are: Stellarium, easy to use, good graphics and a good beginner's program can be downloaded at www.stellarium.org Hallo Northern Sky, lets you do a little more, and is a little tougher to use, but still good for middle school through college, can be downloaded at www.hnsky.org/software.htm Also, if you want to book my workshop for your school, teachers meeting or homeschool group just contact me at www.mscok.edu/administration/directory.html As always there is no charge and no sales - just a hour of usable teaching ideas in astronomy.
